gofoss.net is a free and open-source guide for online privacy, data ownership, and sustainable technology. Launched in 2020 by a team of volunteers, the project is non-profit – no ads, tracking, sponsored content, or affiliates.

We are concerned about tech companies profiting at users' expense, government intrusion into citizens' private lives, and the environmental impact of technology.

Freedom and privacy are fundamental human rights. Everyone should be able to use their devices securely while browsing the internet, using social networks, sharing media, or collaborating at work without someone recording, monetizing, or censoring data.
